“Fill Me Now”
E. H. Stokes / J. R. Sweney
CALL TO WORSHIP
Mrs. Nancy Ann Gillan
President, OGCMA
Inspired by: Psalm 107:1-2, John 3:14-15,17. 1 Corinthians 1:18
Leader:
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
People:
His love endures forever!
Leader:
Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.
People:
Those He redeemed from the hand of the adversary.
Leader:
Just as Moses lifted up the snake
in the wilderness,
so the crucified Son of Man
must be lifted up.
People:
That everyone who believes
may have eternal life in Jesus:
the resurrected Son of God!
Leader:
The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing.
People:
But to us who are being saved,
it is the power of God!
*HYMN
“Lift High the Cross”
Kitchin/Newbolt
Refrain:
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
Come, Christians, follow where our Savior trod,
Our King victorious, Christ, the Son of God.
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
Led on their way by this triumphant sign,
The hosts of God
in conquering ranks combine.
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
O Lord, once lifted on this glorious tree,
As Thou hast promised,
draw men unto Thee.
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
Set up Thy throne,
that earth’s despair may cease
Beneath the shadow of its healing peace.
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
For Thy blest cross which doth for all atone,
Creation’s praises rise before Thy throne.
Lift high the cross,
The love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore
His sacred name.
*APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth: and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day He arose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

*HYMN
“O Master Let Me Walk with Thee”
Washington Gladden / H. Percy Smith
O Master, let me walk with Thee
In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me Thy secret; help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.
Help me the slow of heart to move
By some clear, winning word of love;
Teach me the wayward feet to stay,
And guide them in the homeward way.
Teach me Thy patience; still with Thee
In closer, dearer company,
In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
In trust that triumphs over wrong.
In hope that sends a shining ray
Far down the future’s broadening way,
In peace that only Thou canst give,
With Thee, O Master, let me live.
ANTHEM
“Our God is God”
Joseph Martin
Who holds the wind in His hands?
Have you not heard? Do you not know?
Morning breaks at His command.
Have you not heard? Do you not know?
Who formed the stars? Called them by name?
Who calms the storm, ends gentle rain? Who hung the sun and the moon in space? Before all time began, who knew creation’s plan? Who gave the breath of life to man?
Who gave the song its start? Who whispers to the heart? Who is the one who made the solemn night? Who knows the dwelling place of light?
Not a god of clay. Not a silent stone. Not a graven image made of gold.
Have you not heard? Do you not know? Our God is God!
We are the works of his hands. God is Creator. Angels serve at His command.
All creation bows before Him and we must do the same, for God alone is worthy, worthy of our praise.

*CLOSING HYMN
“He Lives”
Alfred H. Ackley
I serve a risen Savior,
He’s in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him,
He’s always near.
He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro’ all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.
He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives, He lives, He lives —
within my heart.
