RINGING OF THE BELL

CHORAL INTROIT

“Sweet Hour of Prayer”

Call to Worship

Mrs. Nancy Ann Gillan

President,
Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association

Inspired by Psalm 105: 1-7

Leader:
O give thanks unto the Lord,
call upon His name,
make known His doings
among the peoples!

People:
Sing to Jehovah, sing praises to Him;
meditate on and talk of all
His marvelous deeds
and devoutly praise them.

Leader:
Glory in God’s holy name;
let the hearts of those rejoice
who seek and require the Lord
as their indispensable necessity.

People:
Seek, inquire of the Lord,
and crave Him and His strength,
His might and His inflexibility to temptation.
Seek His face and His presence
continually evermore.

Leader:
Earnestly remember the marvelous deeds
that He has done,
His miracles and wonders,
the judgments and sentences
which He pronounced.

People:
He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth.

*HYMN

“Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah”

William Williams / John Hughes

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,

Pilgrim through this barren land.

I am weak, but Thou art mighty;

Hold me with Thy powerful hand.

Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,

Feed me till I want no more;

Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,

Whence the healing stream doth flow;

Let the fire and cloudy pillar

Lead me all my journey through.

Strong deliverer, strong deliverer,

Be Thou still my strength and shield;

Be Thou still my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,

Bid my anxious fears subside;

Death of death and hell’s destruction,

Land me safe on Canaan’s side.

Songs of praises, songs of praises,

I will ever give to Thee;

I will ever give to Thee.

*Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth:

and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord:

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day He arose from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty;

from thence He shall come to judge
the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen

*Hymn

“O God, Our Help in Ages Past”

Isaac Watts / William Croft

O God, our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Our shelter from the stormy blast,

And our eternal home!

Under the shadow of Thy throne

Thy saints have dwelt secure;

Sufficient is Thine arm alone,

And our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood

Or earth received her frame,

From everlasting Thou art God,

To endless years the same.

O God, our Help in ages past,

our Hope for years to come,

be Thou our guide while life shall last,

and our eternal Home.

Anthem

“God is With Us”

Brad Nix / Ronald Cadmus

“God is with us,

embracing the world with His love.

God is with us,

filling our hearts with His light from above.

God is with us,

we welcome his Spirit with praise.

God is with us,
we worship Him all of our days,

We worship all of our days.

God is with us,

we’re safe in His comforting wing.

God is with us,

each day of our living His praises to sing

God is with us,
His Spirit will calm every fear

God is with us,

His light shines when darkness is near.

We thank Him, adore Him,

Forever we implore Him to give us peace today.

Rejoice, be glad,

He turns to joy each heart that’s sad.

Come and celebrate,

Lift up your eyes and face tomorrow.

O, let Him hold your sorrow,

And walk in His unfailing grace!

God is with us, His Spirit inhabits our praise.

God is with us,

He gives us great hope

and new life every day.

God is with us,

let love heal the earth of all wrong,

God is with us, let life feel the worth of His song.

God is with us, now and forever more! Alleluia!

*CLOSING HYMN

“God Will Take Care of You”

Martin/Martin

Be not dismayed whate’er betide,

God will take care of you;

Beneath His wings of Love abide,

God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,
through everyday, o’er all the way;

He will take care of you,

God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart doth fail,

God will take care of you;

when dangers fierce your path assail,

God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,
through everyday, o’er all the way;

He will take care of you,

God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide,

God will take care of you;

Nothing you ask will be denied,

God will take care of you. [refrain]

Refrain:

God will take care of you,
through everyday, o’er all the way;

He will take care of you,

God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test,

God will take care of you;

Lean, weary one, upon His breast,

God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,
through everyday, o’er all the way;

He will take care of you,

God will take care of you.

Benediction

Danish Amen
